Taylor's Q&A

Q: What will you miss the most about high school?

A: My high school really pushed us to try new clubs, sports, and other extra curriculars. I never planned on trying out for theater until I came to Barat. There was no pressure to be the best or have background training . All I had to do was show up to the audition. I simply fell in love with theater. I will definitely miss performing in college.

Q: What are your post-graduation plans?

A: In the fall, I will be attending Saint Louis University's honors program and I will be majoring in biomedical engineering and will be pre-med.

Q: Where do you see yourself at 27?

A: Hopefully, I will be in my first year surgical residence training to become a cardiothroacic surgeon. Since I was nine I knew that I wanted to pursue a career in medicine. Being the hopeless romantic that I am, I would consider it to be a gift to wake up each day knowing I get to fix someone's broken heart.

Q: What is your best advice for underclassmen?

A: It took me most of high school to figure out it was okay not to be perfect. The only thing in life you can control is yourself, so don't waste your time trying to live up to society's expectations. Embrace who you are and great experiences will come your way!

Q: What do you spend the majority of your money on?

A: Shoes! I will fully admit that I have a horrible shoe addiction, especially for high heels. This spending habit of mine will definitely be hard to control in college!

Q: Do you still watch cartoons? If yes, which one?

A: I love watching tom and jerry!

Q: Where would you bury hidden treasure if you had some?

A: I would bury it in Forrest park. Then I would create a treasure map and create a competition. The first person to find the treasure gets to pick which charity the money goes to. This would create a fun competitive environment that would also help promote various charities.

Q: What movies could you watch over and over and still love?

A: Mulan! Mulan has always been my favorite Disney movie because it promotes a woman breaking the average stereotype and pursuing what she thinks is right!

Q: What childhood toy do you still have?

A: I still have a lot of my webkins, but I am afraid my dog, Sophia, has come to think of them as hers!

Q: Occupations you wanted to be when you were a kid?

A: A princess, the president (until I realized I don't like politics), singer, actress, and a doctor! I finally decided that becoming a doctor is dream job, along with being a princess!

Q: If you could go back or forward in time, where would you go?

A: I would go back to preschool when nap time was enforced!

Q: If you could go back or forward in time, where would you go?

A: I would go forward and see my surgical residence years, my wedding, and my children.

Q: If they made a movie about your life, what actor would play you?

A: Jennifer Lawrence! I think she has a positive and healthy outlook on life just like myself! Plus, she would bring some comedy into my life story!
